Choose Your Fight

“How much can you know about yourself if you’ve never been in a fight?”

                                            - Tyler Durden -

Fighting has always been a part of us humans. It’s has started long before we know it. Since the time of Kane and Abel…fighting has been a way to survive, improve, or excel. I think it’s ok to fight for what we want as long as it won’t harm others. Sometimes we fell sick-to-the-stomach of something that people do or say to us or others. All we know is that we want to smack the hell out of them. Hmm…is it worth it? Do we need to hurt or blame somebody just because we’ve been hurt? Afterall…in this kind of situation, who we really need to fight? The "oppositions" or ourselves? Well…i’d like to fight the later. Am I a coward? Maybe I am…maybe i’m not. Am I doing the right thing? Definately! A great person i know used to tell me this…"Don’t let anyone decide for u on what u should do next." Of course I didn’t know what he means by that, at that time :) I admit that I used to be an angry guy who thinks he’s right…well…that’s a mistake i made…and i’m not proud of it now. Since then, instead of fighting back…i choose sit back and learn. There no need to prove who’s right and who’s wrong coz it’s not our job to clarify…we have GOD. I guess there’s nothing wrong in ‘taking a dive’ afterall….as long as everyone’s happy :)

“I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say let… lets evolve, let the chips fall where they may.”

The Name of The Game

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

I was watching the Commonwealth Games recently. I’ve always enjoy watching most of the sporting events. While i’m checkin the events, I suddenly came to realise that there are some events that sound quite ridiculous…one of them that really caught my eyes was the Synchronised Diving. My good lord…diving together? Isn’t Synchronised Swimming enough? I wonder if there will be events in the future that might sound more ridiculous :)

Well i’ve been thinkin…maybe i could suggest some event that could be included in the future. Let see how far my imagination could go :)

Summer Games

1 - Rhythmic Walking (Jalan Kaki Berirama)

Same as walking but there will be some music played during the event…but contenders cannot just walk…they must walk to the rhythm and shake their body or booty or whatever.

2 - 100m Artistis Sprint

Well…this is a hard one. Contenders have to sprint in an artistic way. This one could get ugly.

3 - 4 x 10,000m Relay

10km each? Will it end eventually? Hmm…enough said.

4 - Lawn Table Tennis

It’s the same as the original game except for the table that is drawn on a lawn and players have to lie down on their stomach to play.

5 - Artistic Weightlifting

Lift the weight artisticly…but participants can still keep that agonising face they do when lifting. C’mon…it’s heavy.

6 - Beach Hockey

Just imagine…how many pair of eyes can be blinded by those sand.

7 - Water Rugby

Ouuuhhh….nasty!

Extreme Games

1 - BMX "Carry-your-friend" Freestyle

Participants have to carry a friend on the body of the bicycle in front of the seat.

2 - Monocycle Freestyle

Same as BMX Freestyle, but using a monocycle (the one they use in a circus). Let see if they can even try to ride in fancy skills ;)

3 - "RM 50 Skateboard" Skateboarding Freestyle

Let see if they can do all the tricks they do with a "RM 50" skateboard.

4 - Heavyweight Wall Climbing

Can only be entered by those with weight of 100kg and above.

5 - Harley Davidson Motorcross

Bikers…watch out for this game.

Winter Games

1 - Ice Netball

Girls playing netball on ice…nice! :)

2 - Uphill Slalom

If they can do it downhill, why not uphill rite?

3 - Disney On Ice Freestyle

This could be my fav! A team of ice-skaters must choose a theme from any Disney’s movies/cartoons. They must wear all that mascot suits and put up a good show. Teams will be judged on creativity, tricks made and how well they stay with the storyline ;P

Serendipity?

Wednesday, March 15th, 2006

Well…last weekend, for the second time, i watched the movie Serendipity, one of my fav movies. A beautiful-funny movie bout love, destiny and a pair of gloves that unites them :) Yeah…as ludicrous as it may sound…it’s the metaphor that counts…the meaning behind those perfectly fancy scenes. Talking bout the scenes, my fav is when Sara Thomas (Ms.Beckinsale) asked John Trager (Mr. Cusack) to take the lift at the other side while she takes one at another. She asked him to pick a floor as what she did and see if they’ll end up on the same floor. The idea was….let fate decide. Ahh…lovely isn’t it? Hehehehe. Little they know that it was their last sight of each other for the nite and so on…they don’t even know each others’ name after all the things they’ve done together all day long :P  But there’s always a catch rite? Yeap…a pair of black gloves….they kept one each. So close yet too far…..hehehehe. There are times when 2 persons like each other….but due to circumstances or sumtin, they can’t be together. Why is that? They’re not meant for each other? maybe… or maybe because of the timing? could be… As the saying…"If u love something…let it go…if it comes back, it’s yours….if not, it was never yours" If two ppl are meant to be together….they’ll find their way back to one another with the lead of fate :)  Back to the story…after 2 years, John who’s gettin married to his gf, has came accross the glove while making his preparation for the wedding. Then came the ‘crazy thoughts’. "I should find her!"  And so it begins…with the help from his unstable-quite-stupid friend, they start to search for her without any clue in hand. After all the craps they’ve gone through, still no luck…and the time has come for him to stop chasing his elusive dream…until…hehehe…yeap…there’s more…until the to-be wife herself who provides a clue to him…unintentionally of course. Nah…this is one of the examples of the magic that could happen in life. Fate works in mysterious ways…afterall, it’s Allah’s…rite? So…no need to worry…if there is someone for u, there will be…if not, don’t be bothered by it. Embrace our life as it is…and the life shall embrace us back :) I’d like to think that love is in the air…if i can’t feel it…at least i can smell it. I like the idea of this movie…it caught me to realised that nothing is certain yet nothing is impossible…just do adequately to get the things we want and leave the rest to God :) But don’t just always push our luck…coz luck alone won’t be enough. Remember…love blooms when 2 hearts are ready. So…try to find love in everything…and the love shall find us itself :)

p/s: is there any fight club around kl? hehehehe

Barcelone Cabron!!!!

Wednesday, March 8th, 2006

Hmm…everthing was going well for me until last nite. Me and my rugby lads won our 3rd league match last week….i finally got the song that i’ve been searching for in the last few years (Harmless by Mulberry Lane…hehehehe) and Chelsea has won yet another league game. Hmmm…i guess things can never be too well…and so…last nite it begins. Ouch! Chelsea’s outof the Champions League….again :) Well…tough luck lads. It’s ok…there’s always next year. Allez Les Bleus! :) It was a good game…Congrats to Barcelona…they deserved it :) Hmm…talking bout deserving…me a my fellow ruggers have won again last week….a well deserved win i would say. We played and tackled hard enough to leave the lads of Bangi Hunters licking  their own wounds. No try for me this time but i did my part i guess…hehehe. It’s good to know that i’m still fit enough for the game. I’ve made some turn-overs in the match…so…i guess i still got the ‘ball-stealing’ skill as well…hehehe…macam hebat je! So…2 wins and a lost in 3 games…not bad eh? The next game will be a tough one. We goin to play Storm Troopers…another favourite in the group. Well…i’m not having any expectation…as long as we enjoy the game…that’s just great! Afterall…no expectation…no frustration rite? :) Alright now….i’m going to listen to my new ‘long-awaited’ song….Harmless by Mulberry Lane….hehehe.

Mind Tricks?

Thursday, March 2nd, 2006

Disclaimer : This article has nothing to do with my faith in Islam. To all muslims…don’t ever have doubt in Islam. These are just the thoughts i have about eveything else in life.

Hmm…mind trick? What the hell am i talking about? Well…we gonna discover it all soon. Actually, i got this idea to write an article bout it in these last 2-3 days. "Make believe"….yupp…i guess these are the words that we don’t hear everday but we encounter almost every single day. In this world we only believe in what we wanna believe…in all matters…love, way of thinking, what ppl think of us, infos we get, etc. It is all true? What we believe in? Hmm…tough one isn’t it? :)

We love to think that good things are true and bad things are false. The sentence before is true rite? But do we have the right definition for ‘good things’ and ‘bad things’ ? As for the ‘usual’ things…they might be easier to define. How bout ‘heavier’ things ? As for example…giving out money to the unprivileged. Have u ever ask yourself why u do it? Is it because of a ‘trend’ ? or maybe because we want something back from it? or just simply because of compassion? Alhamdulillah…i don’t know anyone who does the first one (or do i? i would like to think that i don’t know anyone like that…hehehe) The second…this is a tough one…ppl always say "Kalau selalu bagi sedekah…nanti rezeki kite murah". Hmm…what do u think of that? Well…to me the original thought was kind… but this kind of Make believe has left us expecting something in return. This is what that has been set in our mind for a long time and we think it is true…well is it? :) The third reason…compassion…do we have the rights to be compassionate? Are we on the right track to be compassionate? Think and realise…compassion could lead us to a wrong path…where we’ll feel superior…and the worst part is…we don’t realise it.

There are so many things in this life that we take for granted. These are little things that has created such contradiction in ourselves. We say…we believe in ‘this’ but we do ‘that’…keep doing ‘things’ just because the ppl does it. So…where that leaves us? Are we standing for what we believe or just for what the ppl believes? I’m not saying that we should be different…it’s just that we should question ourselves from time to time… after all… what’s popular is not always right…rite? :) There are so much taboos in our ppl these days…some of it are just plain sick and some of it have become a part of us. So…becareful of what we choose to say and believe coz it will bite us back in the ass, big time…sooner or later. Put some thoughts in it mates! :)

Many thanx to Mr John Mayer and Mr Jamie Cullum for the inspiration.
