Indulge Yourself…

Well…i’ve always love food. Everything bout food…from preparation to finger-licking :) As nice as it should be, there’s always something which would turn our appetite off by looking at it or just by hearing bout it. This could work the opposite way for some people in other corners of this world. People are eating insects…(lipas yg kite selalu bunuh tu…yuck!) It’s a taboo to us but a cusine to them :) nyum..nyum! I guess there’s no limit to what human can eat after all. As muslims, we sure have restriction in what to eat. But as long as it’s halal…’kite sebat je kan?’ :P

One thing i notice about Malaysian food is that we have food with funny names. To mention a few…’kuih badak berendam’ (is there any ‘badak’ in it? imagine how many pieces can be made with a single ‘badak’ hehehehe), ‘kuih lompat tikam’ (sape yg lompat? sape yg tikam? kalau makan, nanti kene tikam ke?), ‘otak-otak (ni otak binatang ape nih? or is it otak binatang2 yg dicampur?) and the list goes on and on, lads and lasses :)

Last Tuesday, as usual, i turn to the Food Section (Star Two) of The Star newspaper to see the recipes for the week. Well…i found it quite funny this time. No offence…it’s just that i’ve been talking bout this dish in my ‘food jokes’ for as long as i can remember. One of the recipe was ‘Babi Masak Asam’. Hehehe. Again, no offence. It sounded a lil bit odd i would say. Why don’t they put ‘Daging Babi Masak Asam’? That would sound a lil bit decent…rite? I tell ya…so many pictures came across my mind at that time…to tell u one…i was thinking bout a pig cooking ‘lauk asam’. Kinda the same as what i imagine a ‘badak berendam’ would be if i don’t know that ‘kuih’ (badak yg beramai-ramai,berendam di dalam satu kuali besar…heheh). Hmm…anyways…we are what we eat. So eat healthy…and to muslims, don’t eat something that’s ‘haram’. All the things we eat become our flesh and blood and will go streaming down to our children. How to define ‘haram’? Well…u know…i know…we all know…just put some thoughts in it… :)

Blues for the Blues

Hmm…Chelsea has lost it! Well…last nite was a disaster. Losing at home to Barcelona was a suicide. It could have been worse actually…considering the attacking strength shown by the Catalan and the fact that Chelsea’s playing with one less. That sent off decision had turn the game against the head. But then…’bola itu bulat’ :) It wasn’t so much of Barca’s abilites…it’s just that Chelsea could have won that match if not for Didier’s double miss. Anyways…there’s still hope. A slim one but still…there’s a chance.                                                                                                                   Horno_del_asier_cfc_profile_20051

I think the sent off was a harsh one. It wasn’t malicious the way i see it…and moreover…there was no hard collision at all. But yeah…decision has been made. Let the bygones be bygones. Hehehe. Now let see if the lads can turn the colours of purple and red into a true Blue in Barcelona. One cheer for Chelsea!

ps: I hope Real will gun down the Gunners (Arsenal) in London. :)

Bigger than my body

I had a good weekend last week. Everything was great despite the headache i have on saturday nite which leaved me lying hopelessly on my bed. Other than that, everything else was kind to me. I scored a try for my rugby team in a friendly match and Man U is finally out of the FA Cup. How great is that? Yeah…i know…it’s pathetic. But who cares…i felt great! :)  Well…enough bout that. I had a friendly match last saturday. It was in Bandar Tasik Puter, Rawang. We had a good game (We won 31-5…yeay!) and a good barbeque with the oppositions after the game. Unfortunately, I only stayed bout 30 mins for the BBQ. So…there wasn’t time to mingle around. Maybe next time ey lads. Thanx for the BBQ! :) Actually, the reason I went back early is to watch the Liverpool - Man U match at a mamak restaurant with my frens. And yes…it brought me such joy to see Man U being forced out of the FA Cup. After a ‘teh-o-limau’ and a ciggarette later, i started to feel dizzy. Hmmm…maybe because of the rain that caught me during the rugby game. And yes…i haven’t had a proper shower yet at that time :) Well…talking bout rain…it’s the raining season again i reckon. One thing i love about rain is the smell :) I love the smell that comes out after the rain. It kinda reminds me of taking a walk in a forest. The smell, the sound and the view….it’s a bliss!

Love is in the air…is it really?

Hmm…it’s valentine’s again. As every year, ever, I’ve let it passed by without celebrating or even leaving for myself a memory to cherish. Well…enough of my craps. 14th February has always been a day to make and to spend more money. As for florists, a day’s business has never been as good as on this particular day. Yeah…RM10 for a rose. So, it’s about RM2 per petal? Hehehehe. It’s not just florists who are making money…there are restaurants, hotels and last but not least, 7-eleven for a particular "product" :) Well…I never had a privilage to use that "product". I had my chances…but I choosed not to. Yeah..yeah…yeah….I’m a coward…but at least i’m not a sinner. Tak baik woo buat maksiat…hehehehe. All these and more, has got me thinking. What’s love? Is it about spending money? or having sex on special days? even though u’re not married? If u notice, these are the scene that potrays valentine’s day in our very own KL. It has been a cliché for as far as I can remember. Well…that’s what I see at least. For a person like me…who never had a gf, maybe it’s easy for me to say. I get confused all the time…about love and lust. There’s definately a fine line between those two. So…how to elucidate love and lust? Well…I hope I know the answer. I’ve seen so much relationship based on both love and lust. Well, i have to say that this is pretty much on the men’s side. We know that most women are always in it for love and for what it’s worth, hoping that men are the same. It not always the case really…there are some men I know who are really in it for the love…and I give my full respect to these gentlemen. For me..I’m lucky to have such a great mother. She always tought me on how I should treat people and women especially. All the love i have inside myself was inspired by her. It is just maybe that the time hasn’t come for me to spill it all to someone :) Talking bout lust, I’ve seen some lust-based relationship. To tell ya the truth, this kind of relationship is doomed to fail…and it’s always the women who become the "victim". They gave their all…and I mean all! Well…I don’t have to mention bout the consequences rite? :) But yeah…I would say bout 70% of women who have bf has been de’virgin’ised. It’s hard to find a bona-fide or a genuine or a real "anak dara" nowadays. And it’s even harder to find a guy in the same manner :) For me, I don’t believe in sex before marriage. If that gonna make me a loser…so be it :) In my life, I will do my best to please only one women…my future wife of course:) So…guys out there especially my frens…hear me out…and remember…what goes around comes around. Respect women as they should be respected and life will treat u well…insyaallah. Aminn! :) Well…to me love is just like the music from the other room…u like the tune but u don’t know the name…u hum along but u don’t know the words…u’re brewed into the melody, but when the music stops….u start to wonder if u gonna hear that music again.
